Last week, LandValue Solutions attended the Washington ASFMRA meeting in Wenatchee, Washington, where over 30 members and guests were in attendance. Over the course of two days, members attended great presentations revolving around the tree fruit industry with concentrations on packing and storage issues. Some of these presentations included topics such as who is the Washington Apple Commission and what they do, popular and new apple and cherry varieties, creating and maintaining an orchard, fruit storage, construction and costs, non-conventional structures, and robotic systems.

LandValue Solutions enjoyed attending the meeting and seeing friends new and old. “I think attending state ASFMRA chapter meetings are great because you have the ability to have a much more personal connection to the professionals within your region/state,” said Austin O’Neill, LandValue Solutions Sales and Marketing Director, “In addition, the Washington State Chapter puts together a fantastic fall meeting filled with topic-specific speakers that culminate for continuing education.”

Austin was also nominated and voted in to be a member of the Washington ASFMRA Board. “I am looking forward to helping the Chapter in any capacity necessary. Specifically, I would really like to help the Chapter be innovative in recruiting new members from students, trainees, accredited and of course, including all different disciplines,” said O’Neill.
